Get Out of Chesapeake Arena Naming Rights

Until 2023, we have naming rights for CHK arena at a cost of $3 million per year plus escalation costs. Break contract and sell rights to another company. $3 million would save quite a few employees. We dont need to support an NBA basketball team!

Absolutely not. As a VP I get front row seats whenever I want and I deserve this.

I like seeing the name on the arena. But most practical people & organizations do away with luxury spending when times are challenging.

You can thank the self serving former CEO for locking the naming rights in at a premium for the foreseeable future. Nice of him to use shareholder money to sponsor a team he part owns. (Or used to own)

Plus, they are going to start selling Kool Aid at Thunder games as well. Money well spent!

Name branding rights adds value. At $3 million/year this is a fantastic price return. A great sport franchise coupled with a great oil and gas company. I'm proud to see the name on the OKC arena. Lets hope that the naming rights are extended well into the future!
