Situation won't improve until BDC get rid these Termite. NetApp and EMC gave Anti-Termite Treatment to them so they ran to Dell. They need the same treatment here before they eat everything.

Let hr out of this. They aren't responsible for the bad decisions the company does (although it has guilty to let bad people come in).

HR is like cops. Nobody wants them around, but they are needed to stay around.

I would go even further. just studying in IIT doesn't mean you are intelligent and creative. Of course they are high IQ folks as the exams are competitive. In India most of these iitans crack the entrance exams and their curriculum through rote learning. Most iitans get good entry level positions and the brand helps them move up in their career. I know many many iitans who are dropouts and failures as they can't cope up in the industry. Some of them go back to academics which is their cocoon.

HR 's paymaster is the company. of course they work for the company and is for the company. They are there to manage people as a commodity politically correctly because that is what they are paid for.

Anyone who believes that HR is there for the employees is really naive. HR is there to limit the exposure to lawsuits by employees against the company, and to help get rid of employees who have any grievance with the company. I've spent nearly 40 years in the hi-tech industry and never found an HR rep that would support an employee over the company.

Studying in IIT or any other Ivy League School doesn't guarantee integrity and ethics. There are lots of examples of swindlers from these places.

I have heard that Mr. Candy Crush is an IITian. It is very shocking to see that how an IITian can be so manipulative and unethical.

Mr. Candy Crush, you have ashamed all the IITian community. Just to protect a culprit lady, you showed how low you can go, You have surpassed all the boundaries of meanness, Illegal Acts, Deliberate Deception, Unlawful Conduct and Disregard of Company Policy.

The Tell Dell harassment in BDC storage is one of the most heinous case in Dell history. The kingpin was laid off in October. There are still two directors and lady manager who are out loose in Dell. If Dell HR is serious they should take action against these people. There will be no impact to project delivery as these people are the most useless people exploiting the system and whiling away money and time playing mobile video games and watching YouTube all day.

Lady manager is the laid off director's best friend's wife. She is from services company with no product development experience. But Dell has no mechanism to stop nepotism.

The shameless lady manager was given a promotion. The director earlier was given platinum award for inspiring leadership. This man who doesn't even know how to speak properly, limited technical knowledge other than asking headcount and fighting with everyone is supposed to be an inspiring leader. Irony died a thousand deaths.

HR is only to protect unethical practice done by the the management. You all must be familiar by classic case of ethics violation by management at Bangalore Design Center. One lady manager has gotten low Tell-Dell score which resulted into harassment and torture of the engineers for years by management. This harassment was so intense that many bright engineers left the company. HR is aware of this scandal but they did nothing except protecting the culprits. The shameless lady manager and her boss are still at large. Now they luring the engineer by giving peanuts (so called award ) to get good tell-dell score.

HR are mercenaries, Guns for hire. And should treated as such .

They bring no value to businesses, except making sure higher management keep their hands clean.

As for programs regarding inclusion, employee wellness and other asides championned by HR... BS to make the business look good on paper and in the media.

HR will say one thing and its straight opposite the next day, just to make things look good. 1984 anyone?

when your boss who happens to be in the power gang wants to get rid of you cause you don't buy him / her expensive presents, they tell HR to do that smoothly while making sure you leave without intents to sue. HR rarely is the one that calls the shots, they are not that empowered, mostly a messenger doing the dirty work.

HR is never on the employee side, they are hired by the company for employee - company diplomatic relationships while keeping company's best interest first. If you ever meet a seasoned HR practitioner, they are as cold blooded as your ex. while smiling like your best friend.
