So who really knows what the meeting is about?

I am thinking it's like what others said, the formal explanation of Simple Store and how changes that go beyond the concept of Simple Store are going to be implemented. In my store this usually comes with the undertone of you should be happy to do this. This is your job and you are going to like it. It's best just to stay quiet with our manager. If you ask questions, he looks for you later to see if you are not taking on the extra work cheerfully. He is lucky that the employees in my store are loyal to each other because he would have zero employees otherwise. The only people left are the folks that care about their coworkers and don't want to leave them holding the bag after so many years.
A pr video from Eddie saying we are transformed. It has taken years but the our Titanic ship is starting to float. All our watertight doors are shut and we've thrown all the essential furniture off the ship. We will sail but u need to do more for less. Find everything that is left and throw it off the ship.
@hgp- The commission increase came with the new simple store implemetation, which means that I no longer am just a sales consultant. I now have to ring customers up, work appliances as well as the departments around me. WHile the increase was minimal the time I take to do the other tasks means I make less money that when the comission was less. Lost a lot of sales helping other customers find tools or ringing up people while someone else makes a sale.
Rumor I’m hearing is we will be getting the commission increase they got on the west coast! About damn time. I’ll wear heels that day to get the DM’s attention and pump some information out of him. Girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
Wonder if we will get a manual to read or shd we bring pen and paper to take notes?
Three areas is all I know
Sales support
Cashiers and mcas and shoe associates- both will ring and push freight, fitting rooms Wonder if the entire ad set will be included in this section even for tools and lawn and garden
Store support
Backroom will do truck, process truck,the scan in shoes, OOS, 991s and more I’m sure
Consultative
I’m thinking this is any commission associate- haven’t heard what their roles will be
This is just from what little I have heard as management wants this to be pushed as the exciting news
It's just a store wide meeting to explain the new simple store process. Roles and tasks have been changed. That's it nothing more nothing less! Not a big deal!

Seems like they are all mum in what’s it’s about even though they have all been in meetings
I hope it’s a question and answer part to it too
