DXC handles the TPF infrastructure and TPF application support of the Flight Operating System for AA. However AA is not the only infrastructure client.
They have announced a multi-year iCargo implementation which would impact DXC.
AA should have moved quicker to retain top talent and bring the work in house. The writing on the wall has been clear for years.
The whole Transportation division is being gutted. They've pretty much dismantled the United Airlines part of the division so I'm not surprised they've moved on to American Airlines. Then onto whatever is left of the Southwest Airlines account, and Sabre. I'm guessing of course, no one has told me this, but would not be surprised in the least. A number of really good people have either left, moved to Mphasis to work as contractors, or been WFRed from the division.
What is the impact in India?
What does DXC currently do for AA now? I can't think of anything other than maybe the servers.
Yet another major client dumping DXC. More revenue decline!
It was planned before DXC happened. American Airlines had a plan to exist HP ES.
