Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

WIN is hiring!

Looks like 53 hires, 19 new positions, the rest are backfills. A bunch of CSTs, bargaining. Sales engineers, financial, project managers. Can someone explain to me how they let co-workers go, yet still hire? They clearly are not reducing staff to save money, only to keep hiring!

Who cares about WS they dont even pay industry competitive salaries. Just go to another company and watch your salary double. Thats what happened to me not even 2 weeks after layoff. Thanks for the severance wad of cash to go to higher pay WS. Nice doing business with ya.

There is need and growth in certain teams a d products. If there were the ability to move someone into a position they would have done so. We are no longer focused in selling and supporting legacy technologies like POTS and DSL. Most people I have worked with have become complacent in their positions and won't understand or add any value in supporting UCaaS or SD-EAN.

These are not job postings, these are hires, none are contracts, all have exxxxxxx numbers.

The few that I checked on have a posted date BEFORE the layoffs, I'm guessing that taking those postings down are not a big priority for anyone. Plus, they'll get people applying that they can keep on file for future contact.
