Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Kmart

Please Eddie put some money into the stores!!! 90% of retail is still bricks and mortar. Just pick a market niche and do it really well! Find something that sets Kmart apart from the rest. Kmart actually has very good products, just need better stores with better register systems.

@isqw your right the company is dead. It's too late to invest money into it. I can't believe you people are even thinking like this. You better start thing what you are going to do when you are left wth no job because the company claims Bankruptcy and it WILL happen!

People have been coming and going for years. A new CIO doesn’t mean anything just like all the others didn’t mean anything. It just means something else left and had to be replaced.

Then why do we have a new CIO? Are we not planning on competing with Amazon?

Are you people dumb? The company is DEAD. There is not going to be any investments going into anything at this point. The company is slowly LIQUIDATING.

Amen to that! I've always loved Kmart and the brands/products but for goodness sake, at least put up the current logos on the building fronts. "Big K" hasn't been the company's branding for over a decade. Even just re-arranging the stores would be something fun and different. I like how Des Plaines and Norridge was remodeled so why not roll a remodel out to all of what's left of Kmart.
