Does anyone truly know what’s going on or about to happen? Our DM keeps making comments during store walks about “trimming the fat” and how he could just fire us. Not a fun work environment anymore at all. He also keeps making comments about how they talk to the DM about everyone’s performance and how he doesn’t want to see it, but he has the final day in who stays and who goes. It’s almost like he’s bragging and excited about it.

I am a former SM. I have called. And I ya e seen the reports. You don’t give them your name. And there is nothing on the form when someone calls on you. Trust me. You can call me and I will call them for you lol. I have nothing to lose anymore now that I am former ....
Be very careful about calling. I wouldn’t do it. They DO have your info when you call 1800.
You can call 1800. They will give him the context of the call. But they honestly don’t show us your name or info.
All I can say is WOW! MAIL a letter snail mail! DO NOT BE AFRAID. Send it without your name or return address/ Mail it from another city!
Get on yahoo and create a new email. They are free and can’t be traced. Also as a former SM I can tell you that the. Alls go to an outside call center. Your name or number isn’t attached. But they will hand him the rest.
To the district staff member - do you mind stating what region you’re in and how things are going there?
Call this out. It’s wrong that a bully is in the position he is in. Hope that he is one of the people who gets cut. They need to keep the strong dedicated people who have been there at the front lines doing their jobs putting up with the bs everyday. I would love to see any member of district staff work the service desk for a day. They wouldn’t last a minute. Stay strong and call out that dm.

It can’t be reported. If I call the hotline, my number is attached to the call. If I email, my email address is attached to the email. Maybe I’m paranoid, but he has too much power and sway with the regionals. I haven’t been with the company for long, but I’ve seen enough first hand. He gets rid of anyone he wants and it doesn’t get questioned. My manager has told me to be careful about what I say after I mentioned it once before and I was already told not to mention it to HR or else my name would be mentioned to said DM. Isn’t that what HR is for anyway?
Your dm is a real d:&k. As a district staff member I can tell you that what he's saying is wildly inappropriate and you should contact HR...wouldn't give your name though. As far as the truth behind it...I don't know. Alot of speculation and uneasiness by many. Little things are said here and there then people quickly hush themselves. Something is coming.....no doubt...the who and full scope I don't know. I understand why we had to reorganize last August however I think we could have done it many other ways that could have saved the company money without so many losing their jobs and being unemployed. Report that DM. Tonight. Have anyone who's heard it report it separately. That person needs to be ousted. What a horrible work environment. This company used to be so great. This all just s---s.

How completely unprofessional of him to wave the “I could fire you if I felt like it” carrot under your nose, given the current unsubstantiated state of affairs regarding future cuts, store closings, etc.
