SInce we are doing so good now, let's spend some money on having a Tech Conference and share our knowledge and Team SPIRIT.

Oh that unknown unknowns talk That will go down in infamy. Just goes to prove that anyone can be a supervisor or manager at COP.
Technology is not the problem at our company, it's corrupt, incompetent, arrogant, incestuous, lying, overpaid weak management. A future Harvard Case study to the Peter Principle.
All functions should have a symposium and toot their own horns. Continue the Balkanization of COP and turn on each other as it has been doing for the past few years. Demonizing, subordinating, and the thinning out of the Business Professional ranks will come full circle when Petro Techs look at each other and ask how to submit a time sheet or how to answer a JV Audit by themselves ( What’s that). More conferences.
Why have HH and DH been leading the sinking L48 and GCBU ships for so long?!?
Nothing wrong with copying if it makes us money
If there is booze & broads count me in
Yes, let's have another one, and hear talks like the infamous "Unknown Unknowns." And, it wasn't even an original talk, as it was taken from a Shell talk. Great job COP! Just like how you explore, zero original ideas, and dependent on real explorers to find resources around your acreage and copy them and say you found it. Even your initials spell your methodology: Copy Other People.
yes, let's lets!
Yeah exploration toot you own horn for 'discovering' all these plays on acreage we already owned after other people had drilled around us. That is some top quartile sh!t, lets see how well they do now that they can't claim stepouts barrels in EF, Bakken, Delaware and Montney....can anyone say Powder River? You have failed us for too long!
Lets have URS too.
HH factually states that we steal ideas from the competitors only because we are not smart enough to come up with the ideas ourselves. We've drilled over 1000 wells in that asset and still haven't admitted to our senior management that the subsurface group doesn't understand what's going on. It's all a house of cards and one day the "empire" will come crumbling down. Unfortunately it will be at the expense of our once great company since upper management believes the lies that they are being told...
So proud...back in the days when i was the only one putting a fist in boy wonder's arse, i was on my own...but now i see many other folk who have their own thoughts...
most refreshing
Why not far out unconventional to industry leaders EOG or Pioneer? Either WOULD drill more wells than COP. A retained over-ride on a lot of wells that we are unwilling to drill in a timely manner or unable to commercially drill may be preferred (and with no CAPEX exposure).
Lets pat ourselves on the back for innovating, only to have HH say we basically steal ideas from our competitors. Completion styles, spacing, exploration concepts....we love EOG to death 😍😍😍. Some day we will be an independent... NOT!
Company is in a tax-loss position for this year and possibly in 2019....
Does the company get a tax credit for having a "tech" group..
Our technical people have always had a vastly overrated opinion of themselves. But results speak loudly for them. How much value has been lost by Exploration over the last ten years?
The last tech conference was an epic joke! It basically showed that COP Tech was irrelevant and unnecessary. With all of the layoffs and downsizing, I presume that the tech conference will show that COP Tech is even less relevant and necessary.
