Thread regarding Chesapeake Energy Corp. layoffs

I'm pretty sure this means more layoffs

Well, this is not encouraging in the least. I'm pretty sure we'll see many more layoffs soon enough.

Chesapeake Energy still has a long way to go before it can generate the returns-driven growth of its stronger rivals. That's why investors should steer clear of this troubled natural gas stock and consider one of the top-tier producers instead.

How many more people can be cut? Bankruptcy seems like a plausible option now. What would bankruptcy look like at CHK?

A buyout would be the best thing. Unfortunately nobody wants this company with all the debt. AKM created it and the incompetent replacement management has made it worse. Outright bankruptcy may be the only choice left.
