DXC Layoffs in March?

Because USPS is being split from DXC, what does this mean for WFR? Does anyone have any news on what to expect?

DXC is much like the British army in WW1. Lions led by jackasses. Management is self serving and tries to get away with paying as little as possible, in both benefits and money. Trouble with this, although it provides the fools in management with bonuses, is simple. If you both pay and provide as few benefits as possible, employees will reward the company by doing as little as possible. Yep, in the short term, ie. this quarter, it might produce some cosmetic results, but in the long term, it is corporate suicide.

To many managers remain. Are there any WFRs planned in public sector soon?

WFRs are happening all the time. Bob and Bob visited our site a month or so ago. I expect WFR any day now for some colleagues. Most of us have been with CSC/DXC for over 10 years. Mikey and the boys needs their bonuses!

Hmm, I'm planning on retiring around then. I wonder if I can swing a WFR. Severance money, even the little they pay now, wouldn't hurt. (They don't know I'm going to retire yet)

I am also expecting WFR the same timeframe. I am looking forward to it. I was normally not in scope but got sick last year and was a long time of work.

Since then I realize work is not so important that you should put your health at stake. My illness came just in time as it will put me on the list of WFR. I could not stand working for DXC for any longer. Much too depressing! as an employee you just do not count. So I see really this wfr as an opportunity to take a package and look for better fields!

Prior to his departure in December, a supervisor friend of mine spoke of plans for two in January on the typical pay cycle Fridays (12th and 26th). He also stated March was expected to be a "blood-bath". The expected target dates were to be the 9th and 23rd of March, but exact numbers were not discussed.

I took the "blood-bath" statement with a grain of salt. But considering it was the end of the 4th Quarter and fiscal year, it make senses as DXC needs to hit the billion dollar savings target.

Either way I am keeping my ears open and will volunteer for a WFR in March. If not accepted then the 23rd of March will be my last day with DXC. My call.
