Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

BK stock sale means layoffs

There has been lots of whining when BK legally sold his stock as part of fair compensation but what does it really mean to the serfs toiling in the fields at intel.

It’s simple, layoffs and beatings will continue until morale improves, now get back to work you maggots

@R7P3F3N-1syh 50 million is all one needs, you are a little thinking janitor. High powered people generally measure it many ways, one is their stuff and powerful people have desire for expensive stuff.

The larger issue as CEO he is the leader and what he does it a watched for clues. Boy as a leader in the limelight at CES and with the security thing front center of news he was on dumb phuck to sell what he did when he did.

As to having enough money, he already has that by your standards already.

No his selling is a sign of bad times ahead for him and the company

He ain‘t old? He is 57. Most people are in the final stages of planning for retirement at that point. So there‘s that beachfront property or that farm he wants, so he buys it now, and he sets up some safe investment that will pay for the maintenance of the property plus a nice lifestyle for him, his children and grandchildren for the next 100 years. Does that sound so outlandish?

You can say what you want about BK. I personally despise him for the way ACT was handled, but as far as this stock sale goes, I would have done EXACTLY the same thing. If I can get $50 million now, then I will, because that is all the money I am ever going to need. Sure, I can wait 10 years, and perhaps it will be $100 million then. So what am I going to do with the additional $50 million? Some people actually have enough money at some point and don‘t acquire more money just for money‘s sake.

There are always layoffs at Intel. Some LoB or acquisition is always in trouble.

Totally agree with last post. If layoffs were in the works, he should have held the stock until afterward. He would have made a lot more money.

That's not correct. Usually stock prices go up when layoffs are announced as investors see this as cost cutting leading to better profits. So if BK knew there are going to be layoffs, he would have kept the shares.
