Reposting from another thread where I replied to this same line of BS: "Amazon has NO stores."

False. A couple years ago they started opening physical bookstores in major cities (IIRC they have a dozen or so), they recently acquired the entire Whole Foods chain of grocery stores, and they've been testing concepts for convenience-type stores.

He's right, it makes sense. Think about it, Amazon has NO stores. We don't need them either, just distribution centers!

Brilliant!!!

"Fake news...

Now really, what I WISH would have happened, is that my 54-year-old store, instead of closing in April after being around so long, would have just became a local distribution center of sorts for online orders for the region. While maybe retaining a small 'show room' area for shoppers who reserved an item online and want to check it out in person first. But no... such ideas require creativity, and lord knows there isn't much of that at the top.:"

Believe it or not, they actually tried that at a few locations before. Remember "mygoffer"? that was what the concept was supposed to be. Alas, the only test stores closed a year or so ago.

This site must be a site where you can pay to put an article on it. Article probably written by SHC PR department.
