I've been seeing January mentioned as the month of layoffs at Fidelity, but nobody gives any details on where the information came from.
Anybody knows if this is something that we should worry about, or just another unsubstantiated rumor? Any info would be appreciated.
Heard of more than 30 in PI and Tech in the past week. They were not placed on squads and told this Friday is their last day. Long time, high-performing associates, and mostly 50’s/60’s from what I’ve seen, but some in their 20’s. Most contractors are gone now too.
2 more confirmed in Smithfield from late last week.
First Tuesday of every quarter unless holiday week. Expect this to continue for the forseeable future in small doses until market finally corrects. Then a sizeable one.
PI Covington Tech took a big hit on 1/3, 1/4 and 1/5. 11 people affected that I'm aware of.

I can confirm a colleague in Smithfield was notified yesterday.
Multiple people in Covington were notified that 1/12 is their last day.
I know someone who was told yesterday.
I know for a fact there are more layoffs happening on 1/9.
