Anybody else spending first hours of the New Year checking this site?
I guess my anxiety is higher than I thought. It's not that I expected to find something new on layoffs, but I still felt completed to check.
I guess DXC has truly messed me up. I guess my New Year resolution is to get out of here any way I can. Seems like the only healthy and reasonable thing to do.
Anyhow, Happy New Year everybody, I truly hope it's better than the last one.
It’s been 10 years since I last looked for jobs and went to interviews. I don’t look forward to it and it scares me. One of the reasons is I begun to doubt myself after 2017 - a year when almost nothing went right in this mess of a company.
I updated my cv now and will start sending it out today.
Reading through it and my older accomplishments I realized I do have something to offer, I just forgot. I forgot who I was.
This company is slowly killing my selfesteem and my initiative. About time to leave! I am not this helpless pig waiting for slaughter!
don't spoil your day. just move on. f*ck dxc. when you're on your last day out, just give the middle finger to the management!
We live in a time that we can no longer trust our very own employer. It use to be that they would nurture, train, create relationships, and make work tolerable in order to provide for our families. Instead it is the very opposite. Very Toxic. Our colleagues are now the very enemies to plot to take us out. Management is corrupt and customers are always dissatisfied. Lovely 2018. It should be a pivotal year for DXC. Those who stay will regret what will happen. For all those who stay I am glad you finally got your match to your 401K. This match will deteriorate to the point where it will amount to nothing. Ta Ta for now. The task for me will be to watch DXC tumble. Written from a sunny warm place where the sun shines all the time.

New year is supposed to be about happy new beginnings, good promises for the future and excitement of what may be.
Instead, I find myself busying on the inevitable chop in the next few months.
Its the timing really - Whilst I can see its by financial design (Xmas shutdown etc), there is definately a concious evil of it being inflicted at this time of year (The worst time to be looking for a job).
Its a mental torture all right - positivity replaced with a fear for the future, which gnaws you down, compounded by a personal weakness of not grappling with the reality, that to maintain good mental health, one must always believe they can influence events.
Its like being on death row..... Happy new year
