Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

At least Australian government believes in us

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has renegotiated its IT contract with DXC Technology, giving the global technology services company a further AU$735 million for "centralised computing".

The contract, now worth AU$1.47 billion, is valid until the end of June 2019.

Rumour has it that the replacement SAN is actually a rebadged HDS SAN rather than the piddling 3PAR stuff. If that is true then the new SAN should not experience similar issues.

Maybe install a good SAN storage that can withstand a whole shelf going off line. Oh wait that was HP's EVA that could withstand something like that.

Wow that's surprising since HPE (now DXC) couldn't fix their systems for days and had massive outages.

I've heard reports that many other clients are running away from them.

DXC still was HP and then HPE before the merger and it seems like bad habits die hard.

HPE and DXC are in the same boat when it comes to privacy, their privacy is important but your privacy is not.

Didn’t CSC buy out practically the whole of the Australian IT sector?

Good news.

Looks like DXC must have have worked out how to fix HPES inability to allow its SAN's to continue after 1 drive/cage failure. Amazing what an extra parity disk can do to a contract.
