She was not a visionary, so it was actually good for Intel IMO not to pay much
What, everyone reading this board have golden parachutes too?
What has NS actually done? Release a year-late Skylake-EP?
Best choice for next CEO is NS. He has shown results!!
Possible scenario. What seats were she interested in but not available? @-1gve
Like rats leaving a sinking ship
I wonder why Intel announced in May that she was going to take a leave of 6-8 months. Did Diane request it to give herself sometime to find another job ? Or she was being forced her in a 'graceful' way ? I noticed Intel paid her $4.5 million separation. Would she get that if she voluntarily resign ?
I suspect she came back and found that all the seats were taken, and negotiated an exit package with a few months to find another job. If she brings any of the "this is how we did it at Intel" mentality from 30 years here, she won't last. There's probably a place for her at Google in some diversity council though, and extra credit for Google hiring a female executive after what they've been through this year.

I’m bummed! I worked in her org a few years ago. She was sharp and ran a tight ship. She’ll do well at Google but it’s a loss for Intel.
Good. Under her leadership we cant go beyond 10TFLOPs in legacy
Architecture.
Even mobile eye can beat nvidia
Xavier 24TFLOPS/10 watt vs 20TFLOPS/20 watt.
We dont need or afford such leaders
Good riddance. She's awful. Google will flush her within a year. No loss to Intel.
As with @vpp, I also was resolute on DB never returning. And while I think name-calling is wholly unnecessary, I also believe MR will be the next CEO unless the Board pulls someone in externally (50/50 chance).
This underscores that Intel has broken the longtime tradition of grooming the next CEO. Anyone with a real chance has left, leaving MR as the only logical internal choice. The executive exodus is really astounding once you think about it. Very sad for Intel.
Told you six months ago she wasn't coming back. Excellent timing by her, in order to sell her options on the stock price upswing in addition to her golden parachute. Smart indeed, she knows Intel and esp. DCG has a dark future ahead and not even BK's fake news and BS's number fudging will continue to work. Guess who will be your next CEO? Indian Fatso. The two other major candidates are gone. BK will be gone in the next year or two, once the whole magnitude of his disaster is exposed.
