"you are frightened and weak"

How do managers manage their people into such a terrible state? That, you judgemental POS, is why this company is in such bad shape. There is no direction for the business. You don't dare fire someone for fear of not being able to replace the person. You don't push skill acquisition for fear of losing a great employee (you can't pay a wage that will hold a well skilled employee).

Thank you for demonstrating contempt. It's why I hate this company.

Your guess is wrong. And I would make an educated guess that you are a disgruntled employee who let's their hourly wage control your happiness. And from the looks of your comment you are far from cracking a smile. The post was not directed to an individual as yours was. The post should enlighten everyone and help each person realize that you do not need to be miserable where you work. Nobody forces you to go to work for Follett, you choose to.

So you can wait to be laid off or fired for being so negative. Or get out of your chair and see that jobs do exist outside of the realm of Follett EDU. The grass may not be greener on the other side but don't disrespect others for your own lack of motivation to find that out.

I imagine with all those comma splices and typos, you are a salaried employee in McHenry.

Blah blah blah. You all complain as if you have zero control of the situation. It's a job, there are hundreds like it, but this one is yours. So if you dislike it so much stop being so scared if your own shadow and change it. Do you think the owners or managers are going to really care if you quit? The answer is no. So why let your paycheck run your life? All of you miserable people are a huge part of what makes the company so negative. You can't start over? You can't learn a new skill? That's called laziness.

The hard truth is you stay employed by the company because you are frightened and weak. You complain on numerous social media outs and forums to form the idea in your heads that someone might hear you. Wake up and smell the mess under your nose, nobody cares.

I hate that I work for a company that one of it's core values was "we value each and every associate" and for many years I felt it was true. Now, obviously that statement is the farthest from true. Shame on the family for just sitting back and ignoring the little people. They are still the owners. they could jump in and do something but they don't. They could care less about any of us.

I hate the anxiety of worrying about what I can do at my age, having been with the company over 20+ years, if I am let go. Too old to start over.

no raises in many years but expect more and more out of their lowest paid managers. Yearly nugget increases to make it close to impossible to reach goals in a declining market.

Terrible pay for staff if you are allowed to have any.

Hey Ray G. what do you say...how many will you fire today?

Follett is out of hand and the innocent pay the price. Your so called mgt. team decisions makes sure they get rid of the intelligent tenured people and keep the dumb ones on hand. Is that your idea of a great revival for this company? Think twice......

What A-hole out there has no idea what the Wholesale division is. That was the division that started the company over 150 years and the founders (Follett Brothers) would be ashamed on how this is all playing out.

Watch out Big Wigs...what goes around comes around...

Management NEVER takes responsibility for it's bad decisions.

Blames subordinates for their failure. Spineless wonders.
