Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Incoming changes

Loss Prevention staff will be reduced and streamlined to increase efficiencies across the enterprise. Various synergies will be employed so that newly aligned field management will assume the auditing function that is currently and solely the domain of the existing Regional L.P. Advisor Team. This will allow the reductions in the loss prevention team thoughout the organization. The new structure will have Asset Protection Members in various roles of Auditor and investigator. They will be paid less than those currently in the role of Loss Prevention Advisors and they will report to an Area Asset Protection Manager. There will be two auditors/investigators per region who report to the APM.

Sadly, being an LP Advisor or a District Manager at CVS this Christmas will be a dreary prospect.

Conversely, the moves will streamline the CVS field team and realize a sizable cost which will help the enterprise acquire Aetna and become lean and mean in order to stave off future rivals such as Amazon.

Guys - I've been on this forum since 2016, so hear me out.

If you see a ton of views in a short amount of time, this means that a lot of people are reading - so, there is a pent up anxiety pressure in the trenches.

If you start seeing rumors, just disregard them UNLESS they pick up frequency and you see multiple posters noting the same rumor using different writing styles - this tells you that a large number of people are sticking with a single rumor therefore it's somewhat likely for it to turn out to be true.

A few days before layoffs start it'll get nuts on this forum with posts being posted every hour or so, this means it's about to start.

At some point, folks will start reporting cuts. Done.

More info would have to come from someone that knows something. I'm sure those who do know are afraid of what would happen if it was found that they posted about it. There seems to be conflicting info within the last few days. I would hope that some are not trying to freak people out.

I wish if people who have more info would share more - there has to be more knowledge about what's about to happen.

A lot of us depend on this income, I am the only wage-earner in my household.
