the new CTO seems to be only hiring his cronnies from DTV. They just sold out to ma-bell, so are we in the same boat? Are they just joining here to gut us and sell us off?

They are close by, but also a bunch of clowns so trying to make some sense of it.
Seems more likely it's a geographical synergy thing, I'm pretty sure D-TV HQ is also located in ES. Don't over think it.
To the original poster - I had the exact same thought. These DTV people have no relevant experience (no manufacturing, CPG, retail experience etc.). Plus DTV is not exactly known for its amazing technology. What they do have experience with however is a takeover. M-go could be smarter than everyone thinks.
The new must see TV is RD on ABC.
