Any thoughts on why Intel let this happen? The chips noted in the article include the flagship processors... (quote below).
"Affected chips include the 6th, 7th and 8th generation Core family, three Xeon processors, and Apollo Lake Atom and Pentium."
I like how Intel announces this the day before Thanksgiving - similar to how the Directors and VPs usually announce bad news internally on Fridays... Which seems to happen more often.
