@4nur - Remember that AMD had >30% MSS in servers at one point about a decade ago, before KS helped right the ship and get Xeon into a competitive tick-tock cadence. Once Intel got moving, after literally 2-3 years of losing competitive server deals on function/price to AMD, the tide turned and the 'tick' of TMG eventually was too much for AMD to beat. AMD was taken seriously for a long time after that, but eventually did fade from view and from any real competitive server threat. But that whole sequence was about 8 years long. And it has now renewed itself. This time, there is no process advantage, nor will there be - it's all going to be about architectural advantages and price, neither of which Intel is now leading.

AMD has tried in the past and then fizzled away. Same will happen this time too.

In servers you have some momentum so it will take a time since AMD will gain significant share. It is same as ARM, which can do same work at less than half power consumption of x86, but it will take a time.

Remember how long takes for x86 to take share from RISC big irons?

AMD has created good enough products in the past but don't sell many.
