Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

How low can NYSE:SLB go?

We thought Jan 2016 was the lowest point for Schlumberger stock during this downturn that started in Jun 2014.

We thought we have now hit the bottom and only way is up.

We thought that sitting on coiled spring would only mean growth.

However Nov 2017 is showing the reality.

Share price is falling down, while PK is making money in bonuses

The share price is still slightly over valued based upon positive market outlook, the company is generating half of what it used to. Another quarter or 2 should see HAL overtake then the top will switch out and only then the rebound can then commence. By end of 2018 with a change $83 is achievable with more positive messaging and inward investment motivating the great employees.

Well well around $61.62 the lowest value in the last 5 years, seems to me some one has been telling massive lies again and again and again, someday sometime that person will be found out. How on earth does the top management keep their jobs?

Just wait until the jackasses realise that their sales push has failed. Panic in Detroit.

First the horses, then fossil fuel cars, then electric cars, then driverless cars, then flying cars, then high speed inter-planetary travel etc. Change is inevitable and so will be the use of artificial intelligence.

There is nothing capitalistic about rewarding poor management performance with high salaries and perqs. In fact, that is more of a socialist trait, with the proof Q.E.D. Their latest plan, to replace all the knowledge and experience with AI (trained by whom?) is nothing more than management following the latest fashionable trend that makes big promises but whose efficacy is yet to be proven.

Those who find raw, cold capitalism detestable could align with Marxism which draws on the contradiction between the meaningful pursuit of hard cash and the more appealing traits of human nature which some think includes a desire for a more equal distribution of wealth. Nothing wrong with the latter except it doesn't work too well.

This will go down, way down, unless fueled by more layoff.

I am terrible, but you know, truth hurts.

People who make money when everyone around them is falling miserably are winners. Instead of moaning about it why not use your time more efficiently and think of ways to improve your position. Become a winner in life and not a loser.
