K-mart is better staffed, makes me wonder the true depth of what is really going on
My store has a negative comp for next year it's so bad. I have 2 trucks and typically 1 scheduled driver. I'd also be safe in saying around 30% of what I order for my customers is sourced outside of advance due to no availability. My dm has stated that these cuts are only temporary till after the first of the year. But I don't believe him. Why should I? Either way, unless we get faster availabilty on parts, it's over. Worldpac is the only glue holding things together right now.
If only the powers that be would understand they are suppose to be running an auto parts store it would make more financial sense all the way around.
Don't worry they are going to lose so much business by trying to run the stores with no help they'll be closing some stores. We've lost 2 good diamond customers in the last 2 weeks due to lousy service. When you got 6 trucks but only 2 drivers what does that tell you. We got a bunch of DMs that are nothing but kissy a-- yes men. The management of this co S---S!
this is so wrong, upper management is more concerned about board room promises than employees.
they cut 20 hours from us with only a few paychecks away from Christmas. I bet upper management gets a fat Christmas bonus but we get the shaft. I used to be the biggest supporter of this company but time and time again they have let me down and showed me that even though all they preach is that advance is all about the customer they are really all about the money. what is left to cut when they have cut everything else? today I will start to look for employment elsewhere. Do not trust ANYTHING they say
Such a joke. Cut the hours of the little guys but make sure the big guys on top still get their bonuses. Real nice company to work for.
I remember a few months back, there were people vigorously defending AAP and saying there wouldn't be layoffs, or hardly any....
"Everything is fine."
"You guys are fake news"
Etc, etc
Where are they now? I guess delusion doesn't overcome reality after all.
They'd save a hella amount of money by just closing the damned stores.
