I don't understand how Barnes & Noble management manages to stay focused on same wrong things for years now, instead of moving forward.
The constant pushing from management to get memberships and emails from customers is becoming highly annoying and is causing us to badger our customers to the point where I'm positive we are losing their business. But we have to do it, because if we don't get enough we get reprimanded.
Instead of this, how about we start figuring out new things that will attract customers to our bookstores? Independent bookstores are flourishing again despite Amazon, I'm sure we could figure out a way to attract more customers if we actually focused on books and writers.
