OKC is getting hit hard as the first wave of RIF'sh--s this Friday, December 8, with the second wave in March and the third in June. Data Center is being completely moved to Shugart, and is set to be done by/before the end of May 2018 so that our new CIO can cash in on the "I got my annual projects done" bonus. All Data Center workers in OKC have been given the unofficial notice by local upper management regarding which wave they're slated for, and everyone should be getting their official paperwork and dates on Friday, even if they're slated for a later wave.
It's just a matter of time before we find out when and where the call center and Seagate Recovery Services is getting moved to as there will be nearly nothing left after June 2018.
Open recs frozen at TCO. That is typically an indication of things to come.
wow the actual RIF date is leaked out?? wonder how the transition to Shugart gonna be , chaotic?
foxxconn? what? tell us the details.
Give away the storage business for free lol.
I hate seagate as much as the next guy, but that's just moronic
storage business offered free to foxconn to assume all warranties related contract, dude!
Wave 1 completed by 24-Jan-2018
Wave 2 completed by 25-Apr-2018
Wave 3 completed by 30-May-2018
Wave 4 completed by 27-Jun-2018
U.S. based IT will be shutdown per Ravi's plan with 4 waves. As waves are completed IT teams will be let go. Waves are based on the RIF list already set.
Last one out turn out the lights.
DH cant be scrapped...Seagate has to honour all warranties for us and XTX.
You are stuck with our incompetent leadership team for years to come....
Lay off only in January-March. DH will be scrapped.
TCO is getting hit again. Dec-Jan. Not 100% sure but you can bet they will take the Opportunity to cleanse and piggyback off the it moves.
Dec 6 is what I have heard. IT and Dot Hill, not sure about which other groups.
I reckon, seagate will sell off the storage business , seem legit to start trimming down and laying off excessive staff.
