Dear JCPenny management, since you obviously have no idea what you're doing, here's a little lesson from the front lines.
To earn money we have to sell our products. To sell our products we need customers. To have customers, we need to make sure they return because they are happy with both our product selection and service.
If the customers have to wait to be served for who knows how long because we are chronically short staffed, they will get annoyed, yell at the few of us who are trying our best to do everything but are physically not capable to, make the rest of the customers extra nervous, and then leave to never return. Some will even give up their intended purchase.
Get the picture yet? Keep cutting our staff and hours, you can only go downhill. It's like you are trying to sink JCPenny. You make it impossible to sell stuff and then have layoffs and store closings to cut costs because profits are not what you expected. Jeez, I wonder why...
