Thread regarding Nokia Corp. layoffs

Nokia - H1B Visa employees should be cut before USA Citizen employees doing the same skilled job

Nokia Please remember - H1B Visa employees should be cut before USA Citizen employees doing the same job especially with 2018 layoffs coming soon. Where the H1B employee is located within USA should not matter since majority of the jobs can be done remotely.

H1B are TEMPORARY workers and should remain with the company only if there is a shortage of USA Citizen skilled employee. And there are many many many skilled employees who are USA Citizens working at Nokia USA.

Nokia is trying to fight the 5G war with old horses.. people above 55 are working in their technical teams.. these old farts had their chance they need to give chance to the new employees who have more diligence and life in them. I mean you are training people who may need life supprt soon.

Because there is a very strong indian influence in upper management in Nokia.. though this is BS.. it's more a south indian firm now..

Nokia should move jobs back to overseas closer to its origins, and also other places where it’s more cost effective and hire best talent from the world. Just sell finished products to the West. So no one can complain then!!!

it's common sense and still companies like Nokia seem to prefer to keep the H1B visa employees.

Executives (and HR+who ever does the green card processing for Nokia USA) seem to favor them over those who have been working with the company for years! It's time to put a stop to unfair practices within Nokia USA!!!
