Indians who join jobs are not aware about the plight of job losses in USA, what comes to Indian is usually low end work. of late over last 10 years the billing rates have so badly that Indian with annual pay of USD $10000 to $15000 are being fired as part of cost optimization.

In usa if you get fired from one job no body can stop you from joining another, but in india if you are fired, it is next to impossible to get a new job as the data of fired employee is shared across industry by nasscom affiliated firms resulting in offers going on hold even after the candidate clears all technical and other evaluation criteria

see the viral audio that got leaked exposing one the most notorious indian It services employer

https://soundcloud.com/user-675510322/layoffs-conversations-of-an-indian-it-employee-with-hr-manager

High time tech pros across the world start talking to each other and prevent slide of billing rates as Indian It companies are undermining the core value of IT tech services and introducing enslavement practices.

Indian government is being practically blackmailed by companies by spreading scare by doing sudden layoff

BAU behavior on display for all to see. When people show you who they are, believe them.

The sad thing is that the indifference displayed here happens to people at work regularly.

I'm fine using a global resource model as part of our strategy in growing the pie. However, having worked with VDSI and Ireland, they are very inflexible and less knowledgeable than their US counterparts. I guess when Verizon finally RIFs the last of the US folks, no one will know the difference.

So don't tell me that's where the talent is. Instead, just say we get tax windfalls and low cost labor at the expense of US workers. How can a company that owes US families for the majority of their revenue treat the US worker so badly? Lowell and elitists should be ashamed of what they're doing to the US worker.

Verizon employees aren't even part of the credo (ie. the contract between Verizon and us). In other words, we have every obligation to perform, but Verizon has no obligation to treat us well.

The issue isn't about the layoff. The issue is that they used intimidation and violence to force them sign their rights away. They don't need force to lay workers off. The henchmen were used to create stress, bully and intimidate them into forfeiting their legal rights. Probably snuck in a clause to impose limitations on their future employment too. In the us I don't think you can even sign your severance papers without a week grace period that's built in to the process. This is wrong. The least we can do is show support on this board.

Businesses go to Ireland, New Zeland and UK because they are off shore tax havens that maximize profits. Ireland is undercutting the American people to grow at their expense. There are no talent hubs my friend. Just warm bodies and juicy tax money. This is not racist just the truth. I know its hard to remember that white people come from many countries. You see white people and think they share your simple mentality but thats not true at all. The Irish dont look at themselves the same way you look at white people. Sorry

AMERICANS here are some of those jobs you use have... They even get on site child care to accommodate families. There's a charming farmers market, housing and exciting nightlife nearby to attract young talent. ARE YOU SICK YET?

I believe it. When they discard US workers, they do the opposite and notify you over the phone and text. The violent disgusting treatment of VDSI workers says alot about who you all are as people and I hope you all keep fighting back. In the USA they can shoe people away like dogs without question. Americans have accepted that its a companies right to use you like a s-x worker and throw a couple bucks on the nightstand when finished. "At least they paid you", they say. Its nice to see that some people haven't lost their dignity and worth as human beings. Its nice to see that you all know the value and meaning of your work and aren't pathetic people who look at the ground when someone kicks you. Americans should be ashamed that we let the workplace get to this point. Its easy to kill living things that don't scream.

But we just keep playing along. We blame it on minorities and diversity and outsourcing. Women and cheap young people are all they want. The problem is H1b1 visa.. NOPE! WE ARE THE PROBLEM. This round of layoffs had an impact on my health. Witnessing terrible things happen to good people is a form of violence. Being intimidated and abused is violence and unacceptable.

I just wanted to let you know people see your posts. Some of them are too bitter to be human. Too dishonest to admit why IT work is going to India... which is why they're unfit for IT in the first place! Keep your head up. We have too many American Indian employees in leading jobs for silence at this treatment.
