Thread regarding Follett layoffs

January Rush

Anyone expect anything different from a rush perspective? The typical 5-6% sales decline we have seen in the last 5 years since the start of the new leadership? I have not seen any initiatives to reverse this trend.

So how are rush sales? Anyone meet their goals? Any of the big stores?, ND, ASU?

1st week of rush is a bust, not many on-line orders, not many students in the store & now the returns begin. Very disheartening.

It is a sure sign of the effect that putting profit before anything else has. You manage the business correctly...putting the customer and team members first...profits will come...you mange strictly by numbers...profits will fall.

It appears this rush is following the same path that MLS started 5 years ago after getting rid of the talented, long term employees. That is what I call talent management. DECLINE, DECline, decline

So far my sales are rocking it, I ignored the recommended qtc's, even tho I have had to re-order some books. Hoping for continued good luck.

Not expecting great sales, especially since we are being micromanaged with our qtc's. like HO is aware of what the students need.

The decline will continue and systems will continue to deteriorate. Amazon boxes will pile up even higher in the college mailrooms. Bet on it.
