I was laid off per WFR on 12/15/17. I was told I receive severance and any questions would have to be answered by HR. Hr was not present at my termination and there is no phone number for HR. I have emailed them numerous times. How long does it take for HR to respond, how long for the severance to be paid?

I got WFR on 12/15 too with less than 48 hours of notice. They took all my accesses away from me 4 hours before my last day to work for. I lost 2.5 weeks of unused vacation because I have to work straight 3 to 4 months on the road over 65 hours and sometimes 80 hours per week. Guess what to DXC management - you don't even care for your hard working employees anymore. I have done research under HPE, for a person of over 15 years of service like me, they should get 26 weeks of severance. DXC chopped our throat and cut down to 8 weeks - no fair management staffs. I bet you the former yahoo's CEO whatever that lady name - I guess she voted for Hillary and lost to Trump - she got mad then she laid us off. I wonder how does she knows I voted for Trump and laid me off too.
A good friend of mine got it around the 15th. Sad they do it this time of year. They could have waited a few weeks.
I also got laid off on 12/15, no HR just a manager, a letter indicating my position eliminated and the amount of severance. Very sad severance at that after being with them for 14 years and who lays you off two weeks before Christmas. I did however receive my severance pay in a lump sum the very next payday. S---s to lose my job but happy to be rid of this POS company.
In Australia I was WFR'd a few months ago .... to my surprise the termination payment hit the bank account on the day prior to getting the chop. Woo hoo!! HR was not involved although my useless manager followed the script impeccably.
I was WFR'd December 1st and still have not received my severence pay. My numerous emails to payroll and HR since 12/1 have gone unanswered. I'm not eligible for unemployment because per my termination letter I should have already received severence pay for December, so here I am a single mother with no income about to lose everything just in time for the holidays. Merry Christmas.
HR is there to look after the company not you. Happiest day of my HP life was hearing the disbelief of 3 HR wonks in Preston when they got WFRd enmasse.
They had somehow thought that their efforts in WFRing others so enthusiastically would receive different treatment.
I was wfred on 12/1 and found severance was directly deposited on 12/15. They say within 30 days so I was pleasently surprised
Yep, all responses are so true. I didn't receive my P45 until August and I left in February this year. Totally inept Management overall. Sh1t company to work for, you are better off out of it mate. Good luck.
There's not enough HR staff to be present anymore and they are swamped centrally anyway.
Don't know about US, but mine took 6 weeks in UK to come through.
There are no telephone numbers and you'll never find them on any web-page or even any office!
You have to raise a ticket via .answers@dxc.com who can track them down to some janitor's cupboard, in a low-cost country somewhere. They take about 3-5 days to respond and about a week for any postal correspondence, depending on which low-cost country they are writing from.
The service tends to vary with different people, but most do have to chase them for various bits of paperwork. Try and download all of your salary payslips from their systems (SAP, etc) as you will have a cat in hell's chance of getting holding of anything once you leave.
You poor bastard. If HR was not involved with your termination while you were still employed, they surely are not going to assist now that you have been banished. If you are lucky, they might respond to your inquiry after the “holiday” break. Merry Christmas.
