Wonderful to see the Oklahoman writing articles about CHK management building million-dollar homes on quarter-million dollar lots in East Edmond. PF target bonus and multiplier must be about 20 times what those that are not in management. He says they never want to leave and who would when you can be a bottom-quartile company with top-quartile compensation.

Wow. If I disliked the company this much and was as valuable as all of you I'd just quit and watch the job offers fly at me. Then as soon as I take the dream job that would be the envy of every living soul I'd probably stop watching this board.

I know nothing about the person in question but as an employee at CHK it is obvious to every person supervisor and below that the leadership level are out for only themselves. A 4% raise to a person making $45k is drops in the bucket to a 4% raise to someone making $400k. It is a joke when that person busts their butt and gives everything they have for the company to be given a meets expectations and a 0.8 on their target bonus. Then they turn around and see someone that is completely incompetent but has 4 Culture Posters and has memorized the Core Values get exceeds for doing absolutely nothing. Same goes for promotions. The people that deserve the promotions won’t get them because they ask questions rather than just saying yes to everything and continuing to run the company into the ground.

Career advice for "average" field employee; perform above average, Work your way through the relevant positions in front of you, get paid same amount when you arrive at his level.

this thread is as stupid as the person writing it. You do know the person that you are mentioning has had considerable success prior to coming to Chesapeake? Do you honestly believe that every person in a corporation should be paid the same? Bernie, is that you?!

The guy has done everything in his power to make a positive impact on chesapeake since his arrival and the hate is pointed in the wrong direction.

if you are seriously upset about the state of Chesapeake, take a drive around Nichols Hills or better yet, research Arcadia and ask yourself who owns the biggest house or most land. When you find the answer to your question research the salaries of the individuals to see what their final payments were at CHK. TP and DJ should give you a good head start.

You do understand that we used to have an Executive VP of HR who was paid more than the CEO of Devon. I understand we can't keep using the "legacy leaches" as an excuse, unfortunately though it's a big part of it.

Yes he is paid more that you, but I'll guess that he also provides more value. I have worked for the guy previously and I know that whatever we pay him is a fair price for what he is doing to make a difference at this company. Go do your homework petulant child.
