Anyone else aware of a hiring freeze? Was told that we can not hire and that staff must pulled from RX or FS pools to fill gaps for now.

Need to hire Techs with experiance. It's a mess. Lost 3 great techs, hired 2 clerks. Why are they not hiring Techs. Maybe someone at Aetna knowledgeable in the health field and insurance policies?
Same thing is happening at Aetna, rumors are rolling.
Hiring freeze has been (suppose to have been) in effect for several months as the pharmacy crosstraining program ramped up to have a base of employees that could step into the tech role should an opening occurr, help cover sick days and vacations etc.
Hiring Freeze, Not If You Have A Visa...
Hum, told same thing, hiring freeze, pull from FS to RX, "help each other out". Don't believe anyone in management. Few months ago, CVs had a booth at Job Fair. Past month - 4 new hires, all have H-2B visa. Until a few months ago, they did not have the right to drive, . This IS a pattern across our region and seems to be a well thought out plan. H-2B visas is evidence of how dependent certain industries have become on a steady stream of captive, exploitable labor that they can underpay and replace at will.

I hope that this time our hiring freeze does not turn into a mass layoffs. Many companies do this, they do hiring freeze first, voluntary layoffs second and finally they hit everyone.
