for those who don't know much about what is happening around, start here

http://www.opencompute.org/

it is the consortium of companies comes together to replace all the biggies in storage, computing and network, softwares will evolve around these desingns and ODMs will come up with products based on these projects, so the question we can ask, how long? am i ready with my fake resume?

While the supposedly visionary leaders up there throwing 5 year old buzzwords such as A.I. which we millennials knew and strive for in automation since university time, and Mr. Musk and Mr. Z had worked and invested on many years ago until it bears fruit only then Dell "leaders" say ooh, the next big thing which we are 10 years behind oooh so futuristic. And have you noticed how corporatish and rigid like a plank of brittle 10,000 year-old drift wood Dell is becoming more and more of? It is like we are heading back in time back 30 years where 9-5 paper shredding is considered productive. Why the buzzword when nobody is practicing it, and downright going against it? Dell is doomed. And don't get me started on this social justice bandwagon. As annoying as it is, it is also 2 years too late. This a big fat tortoise with stage 5 cancer.

so it will go like this, dell shows losses in the bottom line, as usual management will ask to save the most and remove any redundancy, but it will be used as an opportunity to remove those who speaks beyond the cubicle and the process goes on until company falls on its own weight.

it happened in kodak, dec, SGI, sun etc, even nokia was not spared in the smartphone wave even though they were great in their respective domain.

it is just the matter of time, cloud will taken over everything, does anybody imagined watching a movie online? just fifteen years ago? the same way storage and computing will go in to cloud,

it is not because of the problem with the company, whether it is good or a bad company, end is same for everyone and the change is inevitable.

until then enjoy your stay and sharpen your resumes with fake projects.

Big cuts are coming, the profits are not there to justify the size of the organization.

Will see multiple actions in 2018

Dell will continue to cut throughout 2018. The income does not support the number of employees they are still carrying.
