i bought my daughter the fat barbie. the only problem she had was, "mom, my realistic curvy barbie doesn't fit any of her pretty holiday gowns." i had to explain to her that her barbie had a lonely thanksgiving and devoured a whole turkey by her self and it didnt help she was washing it down with a bucket of gravy. then I took a pillowcase and rubberband, wrapped it around the barbie. my daughter was pleased and said "thanks mom! she's just like in real life now!"

I doubt the layoff will fix Mattel current mess. The people that being layoff hardly significate since more talentless still around. They just layoff those the management do not like eventhough their services still required and therefore the current mess still can’t being fixed.

At least Hasbro can create some value from the Mattel disaster. One benefit is the Mattel board would be gone and there isn't anyone worth keeping from the leadership team.
On the brightside they have thousands and thousands of unsold toys to donate to charities. I can already see the look on their faces when they open up to find a fat barbie. I bet the poor kid will look at it and kindly say, "Oh...No thank you. Can I have an extra can of beans instead?"
