Has anyone else went to a 6 day work week? That's the new direction all the GM's received in my district. Effective immediately.

It's been said many times...why would anyone continue working for this outfit? There are much better options unless you're just too lazy to make a change. Seems like a lot of lazy folks given all the obvious warning signs that you could be unemployed soon.
Starting line shows GMs have to work 50-55 hrs min and 5-6 days min on 11 hour shifts with a hour lunch break.
After 14 years with this wonderful (until recently) company, I am looking to make a change. You can’t cut labor to be profitable and maintain store standards and customer service. I have lost 10-15 customers per week since the labor cuts because they can’t get waited on fast enough. It’s much harder to earn a customers business back than keeping it and paying up front for help. Unfortunately my pencils aren’t sharp enough to be invited to the table to discuss such things.
I've not heard anything about a 6 day work week, yet, but it can certainly change without notice.
55 hours is required for GM's. They changed it without telling anyone. It's on the starting line under GM requirements
55 hour work week has been in effect since Sept when we got a new DM and she decided we needed to work more than we were. I believe she's trying to look good for the regional vp.
When were you informed of this 55 hour SOP?
We have known about the 55 hour work week. That's really not a problem. We can do that in 5 days. I want to know if any other GM's in districts other than mine are being made to work 6 days a week with only 1 day off. Because that's what's happening right now in mine.
Yep. 55 hour week mandatory for GMs. Cut 20+ hours from hourly employees. No help in the stores. DC stocking project packs and laundry detergent. Perfect formula for success.
only if no help in your store! They will use you then lay you off, work, work, work!
