Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

my thoughts on Dell at a snr advisor level

May not be top heavy but it feels very heavy from the top. Me me me mentality of most of the managers, management gets training, gets retained, gets name listed in big projects, gets visibility, gets access to information, and get rewarded and entitled to all the supports. They get everything, and senior individual contributors do the thinking, the teaching, the strategizing, the powerpoint, the creative implementation, the work overall, and anything that we need beyond our cube needs to have at least two layers of managerial approvals and justification only in languages they can comprehend. When trainings, trust, projects, communications, tools and all those things that we actually need for being the one doing the work are denied from us because we are insignificant, and need to be tightly regulated like criminals. Because a small group of people barely 0.001% of the population knows what the rest needs and ultimately decides for them.

also I am managing the people of few other managers by handling their complaints and teaching them how to work. while the managers act like one sided bastards and blindly stood at the low performers defense to gain brownie points in their Tell Dell. Dell is truly a company that takes care of its old nasty borderline useless freeloading folks.
