Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

wishing for layoffs...

is it sad that i'm at the point where i'm hoping layoffs happen? i've been with cigna for many years and i watched it deteriorate from great to good to mediocre to awful place to work for...

i'd leave on my own, but at my age finding other employment can be tricky, even with my knowledge and experience... if i were to get laid off, i'd have the security of severance for at least a while while i search for new opportunities...

i know i'm not the only one who feels like this... several of my coworkers have said the same thing to me... maybe cigna should do voluntary layoffs next time, i'm positive they'll have no issues finding enough people who want to be liberated from this mess...

Go to HR and ask to get laid off. They are actually masking job eliminations for workers 50 and older under position eliminations. It has happened already to some of my co-workers at Cigna where they Job eliminated there positions so that an Indian consultant can take over their positions. Got to love Cigna for taking care of offshore resources over full blooded American workers. Go Cigna Go! What a great company! Taking care of others before their own.
