Thread regarding Cotiviti Holdings layoffs

layoffs

Like other successful, growing enterprises, over time there will be periods where we step back and consider the structure, the talent pool to meet current and future needs, and the allocation of our resource dollars – and we make adjustments. This process can result in changes that are painful in the moment, yet beneficial to our organization’s evolution over the long-term.

In line with this process, we recently conducted several organizational realignments (primarily in Solutions and RCA Healthcare) as well as restructuring (flattening layers, etc.) that resulted in both job changes and role eliminations. In mid-October, this affected approximately 1% of the Cotiviti workforce, with an impact on approximately 2% of the workforce throughout the fourth quarter.

Cotiviti has moved beyond “cutting the fat”.

They’re also cutting US jobs and moving them overseas. Does Cotiviti have clients in India, or is this about less-expensive labor?

If you fire 10 US employees and hire 10 employees in India then you have no reduction in workforce, but 10 employees are unemployed in the states. All in how you view the numbers until it's your job. People jump this sinking ship because they are offshoring everything.

Come on. VPs and C-level executives are being hired. The company is insanely top heavy. The amount of work being sent overseas is getting crazy.

Please — upper management is getting plenty while the rank and file employees who do the work are being laid off and not given adequate equipment. They want to grow but refuse to keep enough people to do both standard maintenance and new development.

It wouldn’t surprise me if there was another sale.
