Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Training issues

Cigna has a huge issue with training which should have been solved a long time ago, but for some reason it never changes.

New employees get no initial training on their specific position but have to learn from other employees on the go. The problem is, even those employees still don't completely understand the processes they are explaining and programs and tasks involved. You can guess how well that can work out.

Management keeps claiming they want to be informed about things that are not working, but when you actually do bring this issue to them it's like completely ignored.

At least some specific directions would be nice from the get go, instead of the broad company related "training" that's available.

Hedis training extremely lacking .... Worst ever ... It should be embarrassing to Corporate!!! I have been a Nurse for 16 years and to offer my knowledge to a fly by night outfit was disgusting and a waste of my time in PHX. To be accused falsely by a first time " Hedis instructor ". that I would rush through and falsify legal medical documents without evidence is unethical, false assumption of a temp employee and harassment. Scarey place to work for!! Very upsetting, because the staff knew how bad the training is ... Nurse's that did come back told us it was worse ever. I felt very uncomfortable and would not encourage anyone to consider working there for Hedis abstracting. If you ask for follow-up training that you never received in an email along with others ... it was never received when asked 4 days in a row... how can u learn ?

Told you can not take home study material and then jumped and told forcibly to study that night . Like you force nurse's to learn!!!

The PHX Hedis nurse's lie!!! Thank heavens there was a temp nurse that gave me info, because staff were incapable. Not a positive, ethical learning envioment.

On my last day, I assisted a training temp employee having a panic attack in the Cigna bathroom...2 Cigna managers were standing by!!! I asked if she was in training. .... This is what they put you through!!! Poor thing !!! She was about 25 years old... Heart attack or panic attack???? Stay away from this place!!!!
