Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Our DM just broke news

To sum up, our district is being broken into 4 different districts.

My DM is keeping 6/22 stores then picking up 8 for 14 total stores, as a District Leader he'll be responsible for front & pharmacy.

Our FMM is apparently gone but I'm not aware of any other layoffs.

This all happening 1/1/18

Hope this helps some.

Best of luck to everyone.

In Illinois, my sup broke the news on Thursday. He hasn’t been told where he will be placed. But he seemed optimistic that they will find him a district.

More worrisome are the changes to the scorecard, it’s going to be hard to get 5’s. Heck it’s going to be hard just to meet target. All these changes have me depressed. People losing jobs, stores closing, hours being cut, etc. What kind of world do our children have to look forward to.

My district is being split. 6 stores are being assigned to a new district that is over 2hrs away. We found out on a conference call Monday. Makes no sense.

The realms of reality...heard that allot of the rx supps being offered stores are quitting and dropping like flies...I guess they don't want to work as hard as most of us on the bench do...well as per merlo...your whole system is a flaw....Aetna move is flawed...

If this has been confirmed by your DM/SUP, then they are staying and their assignment is set or close to set. If your DM is feigning ignorance then either they have been sworn to secrecy until details are worked out or they've been chopped and don't want to tell. This is a good move for stores! Fewer stores per district means better connection to the District Leader. Unfortunate it happens in December, but January is always the new year.

Update from FL. Everyone has been spoken to an on a confidentiality rule. All districts and regions are realigning. Effective 1/1/18 DM and Sup position will no longer exist. Only 1 new role District leader per district that will oversee FS and RX ( district will be 14 or 15 stores). The way they determined who stays and who goes makes no sense, some of the best performing Sups in the company (service, flu immunizations, MSH, MPC) are only offered severance packages or unreasonable stores to go back to the bench. Same with the DMs...this is a** backwards.

Leading with heart for this company turned into heartless leadership really quick. This is an ambarrasment.

Payroll demand decreases by 3% to begin the year. No definitive word on what will happens with store managers yet

Midwest-dm made the announcement on a special call to PM’s and SM’s. Was the same thing people have already said about splitting the districts and creating the District Leader position. Only discussed Rx Sups and DMs- no other positions or rumors addressed.

What about the emerging leaders trying to become pharmacy supervisors? What happens to them? What about all the extra work they did for FREE?

The EL program is such SCAM!

Anyone know how they are determining who get the “district lead” position? I keep reading about a point system. Can anyone elaborate?

If you have not been told in your district. It is because they are still determining how to realign and who will be district leads. They are still figuring out who doesn’t have a seat at the table

No rumors. We have already had conference call. Districts being realigned. Old dm position along with pharmacy supervisor positions now going to be position called a district leader. Almost like it was 14 yrs ago before they created rx sup per district position. Rms having meetings with dms and rx sups this week to tell them if they go or stay and if staying what district they will have.

What part of country is this in? No towns etc. Just state or region if possible. We have heard we are being split up but not who is going to be district leader or even what district we are going to be in. We are in southeast
