BD really needs to lay off acquisitions! Every time we acquire another company, BD management uses the opportunity to reduce the longstanding staff even more. People either get laid off and replaced by cheaper employees, or the position simply gets removed altogether. They are literally doing acquisition at the expense of existing staff. When is it going to be enough? We are at a point where job security is non-existent here. I understand that shareholders are the top priority, but it's the employees who do the work that makes money for them. Treating us like crap can only backfire.

I WORK FOR BD SINCE 2018 AND THEY HAVE TRIPLE MY JOB SINCE JAN 2025! THEY ARE MAKING ME DO 3 PEOPLES JOB ON THE SAME 8-5 SHIFT! wtf REALLY? AND OF COURSE NO OVERTIME UNLESS APPROVED BY MANAGEMENT
The shift from leadership pushing "innovation" to "acquisition" was evident at BDT... the word from on high as that innovation was put the door and it was easier to acquire innovation. That's not how that works... the first place in the decline was IT and HR.. with outsourcing. Values that made the company great were tossed out. Good luck. It's the titanic and won't last another decade. Great Job leadership!
I have also left BD this year after going through the first acquisition , BD became unrecognisable as BD. So much longstanding talent has been lost and now I have the experience of (trying ) to be a BD customer getting my emails passed from pillar to post because they are fragmented and no one really knows who deals with what anymore . So much for one BD
hey OP - @Q84uiLf - this is so true - there is no more job security whatsoever...
old times are gone forever, we just have pressure, deadlines and layoffs (at least in IT)
Job security... hahaa! Hasn't existed there since Ludwig stepped down.
Well a lot of those hire up people were overpaid, had generally less than one staff member (whom normally did all the work) , and could not validate the work they did. Some were over due, but yes a lot were good hard working people and that is the sad part, as with any layoffs.
This is why I don't work there anymore. They're losing experienced skilled staff who are fed up with their positions being downgraded, and replacing them with cheaper imports.
Sure it keeps the shareholders happy, but the effects on quality are starting to show already.
Happy staff are efficient staff. A manager can bring down a site and its staff, but lots of unhappy staff can bring down the entire company.
