Is that what they do now to let people go?

I got it at 10AM on January 23rd. A Monday! My boss read a form letter about "restructuring " then took a HR lady off mute on the phone. She walked through a stript of items. I got to pack my desk and then drove my boss to the house where we got my personal tools off. Watched the tail lights of my new truck disappear all before noon. FACT!
So tell us what the conference call was about
Swim= someone who isn't me.
Yes -- they do do it in a conference call when there isn't enough HR people to cover them all. But normally they do the layoffs on a Friday.

I was let go via phone, and would have had time to do a lot, if I wanted to.
They have already done masslayoffs by conference call in these last couple waves.
What is SWIM?
Mass layoffs happen with little to no warning and dont happen on conference calls. WS does not give employees time to do disgruntled things between being told they have been laid off and getting them out the door.
It only takes an experienced tech less than 2-3 min to cripple the entire network should they be so inclined.
Doubt it. What time of day is the call?
