Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Not quite one and the same after this merger?

It could be just my imagination but since the merger, have legacy HPE employees been hit much harder by these current redundancies compared to legacy CSC employees? People are dropping like flies all around me. Won't even be upset when WFR comes my way anymore but would be good to know if my assumption is correct?

After the merger our manager was replaced by someone from CSC who resides in India. All WFRs have come from the ES side of the team and none from CSC’s side.

just your imagination - sorta. Fact is that way more onshore heritage HP emps than heritage CSC. So, as others pointed out, that's just the math right now. I see people dropping all around me and they aren't HP'ers.

When they said "Realising Synergies" they meant that CSC's extensive knowledge of cost take-out to ES. Vital knowledge transfer such as how to reduce facilities; reduce labour; reduce benefits, expenses, pay-rises and bonuses.

You didn't think it was about maximising people skills did you? Come on.

HPE will likely fail before DXC, imho.

Not hit heard enough. The useless EDSers are still around. The pathetic douchebags spend their day playing games and texting.

Oh and the other thing ES had which was long gone in CSC... you had a really Western heavy workforce. The numbers from USA and Europe were far greater than in Asia.

When I originally saw the makeup of ES staff and sites, it really surprised me.

CSC is probably 70%+ "low cost offshore", ES, its not even 30%.

CSC was already cut back beyond the bone - we'd lost over 50% of our employees since Mikey rolled into town. There wasn't much left to cut. I know you ES people think you had it hard with Meg, but really, you don't know the half.

At the moment, most of DXC is a "two state solution", with very little actual crossover between the two pieces. There has been little in "realising synergies" that I've seen so far. It will come, but when I don't know.

Hence most of the cuts in staff have been ES, simply because the keep the CSC part of the business still rolling along you pretty much couldn't take anyone else out - well, I say you couldn't, but of course they did.

But don't worry, we aren't anywhere near the bottom yet... the target in 2020 is 100k employees, anyone seen an update on "progress" so far? We started this with 180k employees.

not sure which team/technology or location you are from. if you are near the fire expect the flies to fall quickly.
