Here's what we are hearing in my office:
RIF: Early December layoffs of a few hundred globally
Closing: OKC IT team
Rochester, MN
Can anyone substantiate these? Any other rumors?

Plenty of jobs, whatever, I was hit in July and I am still looking. Ive had a ton of contacts and interviews, but noone wants to actually hire.
145 IT in OKC
All i can say is that IT in Seagate Springtown are stealing a living.Completely inept for the job at hand. Some of them do not deserve to have a job with Seagate.
Anyone from OKC comment? How many people work in IT in OKC? Wondering how many employees will be impacted there. And what's the job market like in OKC? I hope everyone can find other jobs.
Wow .. I would never have figured ..
OKC has the Best of the Best IT people ..
OKC DC is done, most will go in December, some in June, it’s all laid out. The remaining IT will implode soon after.
Colorado Springs to close, Bangalore to shrink or close.
Wait it out .Dont make it easy for them. They dont care about you so why care about them.
Don't give away your knowledge. Period. Let it go with you and have Seagate deal with the consequences and try to figure out things from scratch.
All data centers are being consolidated to Shugart. It's already been announced. Make them pay you a king's ransom to stick around for the transition.
OKC, not rumors. Managers have lists with names and your order in line. They do know, don't let them tell you they don't, it was presented to them today. Prepare your family and wait for your turn. There are plenty of jobs, if you know how to get them. Wait for your package.
