Congrats to the new land manager that has six months of actual landman experience. At least the Haynesville land manager is no longer at the top of the long list of terrible and undeserving managers at Chesapeake. What a joke this place continues to be!

CHK will continue to lose its most talented Land employees because of issues like this. Most managers and supervisors are not even close to being qualified for the positions they hold. Upper management believes they can train them to be good managers. They put up signs outside of their doors that proclaim that they are "elite leaders" simply because they have completed a training course.
Let’s all be honest, the planning position was created to hire a former OU football player. It is a joke of a position and is being filled because the landman couldn’t make it in the BU he was in and there was no where else to go. so the football player gets promoted to a position to get a raise and still not have to do anything and the new planner gets to go back to managing a none existent group and being irrelevant. Classic example of wasting money on underperforming employees that contribute absolutely nothing.
He was referring the new land planning manager.
Its a supervisor position that was filled today not Manager and he has several years of landman experience. wasnt the first choice of management but hes still not bad. Most of the ones that were the most qualified don’t even apply cause they don’t want to deal with the bs. We are a bottom quartile company with bottom to management. Cant do much to change that until prices turn around or get taken out
