Anybody else notice how many people have left Pepsico lately on their own, not due to layoffs? And I am talking about all levels, including management. What's going on? It's a little bit scary to see it happen, kind of looks like they are leaving the ship before it sinks. I think that while Pepsico has some issues, it's far from being done, and it's still a really good place to work at. I guess it's just disconcerting to witness...

Honestly, leadership talks about economic hardships and global challenges, but the job market is actually quite good in many fields here in the US. When the company hires dozens of millennials who then won't last 2 years, and either fails to replace them or simply replaces them with MORE college hires who will leave in 2 years, it puts a burden on exceptional employees. Add in all the new spending challenges, limited investment in personal development, and lots of side talk about layoffs and force reduction, and you have your best people looking for greener pastures.
Many people stay at the company because it's been a good company in the past, and people genuinely have an affection for it. Lately, the bloom has been coming off the rose, and people are noticing.
The leadership has morphed this place into a second rate company, so why stay if you don’t have to ? The exodus is at all levels, our department lost its millennials this summer, they left for better jobs. Pepsico was just resume-filler for them
I have seen the same thing. The problem is good people are leaving. It would be different if it were under performing employees leaving. I don't necessarily think the ship is sinking. I do however feel a course correction coming. People are simply getting tired. 60+ hour work weeks and small pay raises are not working anymore. If other companies will treat you better and pay you better.... Why stay?
