I am a long time employee in Roanoke I am also on various inter company committees. Surprise, there are no current layoffs and no future layoffs planned. Please rest your mind at ease you all have safe and secure positions with AAP. Now, let’s all focus on our day to day responsibilities and work to be the leader in the retail/commercial automotive aftermarket. We are looking to expanded our work force and our goal is to bring the total employed to 100k. Exciting news this will greatly improve our in store customer service and allow more time to be spent with the customer enhancing our relationship while also increasing sales. There is much more positive information to come and 2018 will be our best year ever.

I feel absolutely sick after writing my schedule today. I have even less hours next week than I do this week and we are closed a day this week. Don't like the way things are looking for this company. Do I hang on for the ride or jump ship? The general managers are very worried!! Is our company going under? We deserve to know.
Maybe there is some truth to this. I know in Michigan they paid well over 100k for a guy to run the distribution center. Although, other than change schedules, and some truck routes around we aren't sure what he's doing. We don't see him out in the field.
So what happened after 5pm yesterday? Post said wait until after 5pm...lol.
Terrible management getting ready to layoff hundreds of store team members right before Christmas. If your store is not hitting its numbers, you better be looking.

It will never happen. Advance IS a reactive company, and it's basically too late. Many choose not to believe but this company is barely hanging on. My region is down over $900k and it's not the worst. Believe what you want, I see it happening everyday.
The lay will start after the release of the 3rd qtr release. So I would say end nov first part of dec. now to add people to aap you need to be making more money, if you do not the ship will go down faster.
Let's be clear. Advance Auto Parts will continue to move in its current direction until the senior leadership understands the business they operate within, until then Mr Pepsi needs employees to get laid off to cover his necessary salary.
The stocks are at an all time low, stores are being closed, people have been laid off or left, the company has no upper management with automotive back grounds, customers both retail and commercial have been alienated, and the CARQUEST integration has been a major disaster . So tell me something I can believe as everything from this company has been lies and more lies, so trust is a huge issue.

Bringing employees to 100k seems like a fantasy and you would need to add over 40K job opportunities. That is like doubling the need not very likely. I can't drink this cool aid.....you are offering without more details....
