Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Any news from Cyberjaya Malaysia?

The management has not been forthcoming about any sort of compensation since the news broke that Shell was not renewing its contract.

The service will be moving to TCS (Tata) in India. About 600-800 staff will be affected at all levels. We will see the end of Shell Account and our jobs by end of June 2018.

Network and voice teams have got their offer letters from AT&T post announcement of the spin-off. This will be completed by 15-Dec-2017.

The rest of the staff will be getting their letters shortly, for those who have been given their WFR letters have been told not to disclose it to anyone, else action will be initiated against them.

31-Dec-2017 and the Cyberjaya story is over. Happy New Year 2018.

Some of our colleague in Cyberjaya already signed the offer letter from AT&T. They will move to AT&T tentatively 15 Dec. Some will move starting 1st Feb 2018.

You don't get any compensation when your left go. In the USA the company doesn't have to give you anything at all. DXC offers 6 weeks pay if you been here over 10 years I think, but they don't have to by any law

From what I read Cyberjaya Malaysi did a lousy job with supporting the client , so they deserve to lose their jobs.

Most POD's (Clusters as they are called now) outside of the US , do only the minimum about of work and are always pushing back, saying it can't be done. Instead they should be saying now it can be done and then doing it!

I am so sick of hearing in meetings NO, it cant be done without giving a alternate way to satisfy gthe customer and make DXC some money in the process.

It depends upon the terms of your employment. Severance would be around 3 months salary. But for Malaysia it is doubtful.
