Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

When I first started I was on a team with About 15 fellow nurses, a CHE and 2 SSs.

That model worked so well. We knew our members well and could truly coordinate care with SS and CHE. Our members had the continuity of care they deserved. If only we could go back to a model of care that was efficient, cost effective and customer focused. There was a reason Humana Cares as it was called back then, did so well.

None of that matters when the US healthcare system is in a tailspin. Have you not noticed that healthcare companies, hospitals, suppliers, etc are all laying people off?

These are not days to be completely ignorant of your surroundings or industry. Wake up, look around, think about what you see.

I guess what worked for us as a team didn't work for Humana. I agree with you!
