There is one home office team that has consistently grown year after year.

To the person who said ask a store whose sales are up if their hours got cut-

Yes, ours were cut too.

The leaders at the tower are on the bonus run that starts every October. Sept shortfalls time to react the only they know how. Layoff at the store and layoff at the home office. Layoffs only impact those implementing the strategic plan, not those that actual create the strategic plan.

They cut are hours at the warehouse too. Only work 4 days a week. Then with all the counterfeit books don't make things easier.

If for any number of reasons sales are off, the front line staff takes it on the chin. Yep, That's a crappy reaction by relentlessly terrible company.

Is your store down in sales? That is the ?

If so reach out to another SM who is over in sales and ask if their hours were cut. If their hours weren't cut then there is your answer.

What a great example of how disgusting follett has become. "trimming hours". We trim Christmas Trees. We trim the lawn, our facial hair, our nails.

Trimming hours equals flushing staff. These hours equal individuals' earnings. They're slashing earning potential while trying to satisfy bottom line goals which are unattainable. They continue to push the risk of operating this business onto the front line employee.

In capitalism, risk brings reward. The only reward you earn, at follett, is your professional, final reward.

I know what is needed to provide 'hassle free shopping' at my store. The people who make up these 'hours' are clueless & have never worked in a store, let alone try & manage one with all 'directives' coming down the pipes. I will continue to do what is best for my customer not some rm, vp or svp bonus.

How convenient. I just happen to have extra hours available in my life that I would rather cover at my store than spend time with my family. This is fantastic and so helpful. I am a giver.

I just received an email advising me that my payroll hours were trimmed back from the previous number.

Question really is, is this happening at several stores and are cuts in management in the offing as well.

Company losing money, makes sense to cut hours at store level rather than trim all the fat from upper management, all the VPs, etc..
